Visovac = ❤️

 Tuesday: Zadar - Krka National Park - Trogir - Split We slept in a little bit this morning and hubby went out for pastries and coffee.    Bok Bok, Zadar.   Now off to Krka national park and Visovac Monastery. The road to Krka was similar to the road to Plitvice - winding mountain roads.    So Heather went into car mode, which is basically, well first Dramamine, and to a side fetal position curled on travel pillow and hat over the head, eyes shut.    The hubs gives a play-by-play of the outdoor scenery which sounded about like this: Also:  “up hill/down hill/big curve” Road signs such as: “watch out for Bour/Bear/Cow/Goat/Frog”  Yup, frog.    🐸   “Oh, too bad you can’t see this.” Etc.   We made a scenic overlook stop to view the monastery we were visiting.  THIS This was literally the ONE thing I begged to do.    Monks living on their own little island in the middle of a lake.   Monday: Plitvice - Zadar So Zrinka House: this was our accommodations last night and we can not sing higher praises for their hospitality.    Drinks and homemade snacks upon arrival, served by Zrinka’s daughter, Barbara. Large, comfortable rooms.    (No icks- in my experience, rooms typically have an Ick level of 5-7. This one Ick level 1.) The shower was spacious - hubby struggles to even fit inside most European showers.    Morning breakfast, Zrinka herself explained everything in the breakfast spread, doted on us, gave us to-go bags for a pack lunch for our hike at the lakes.    Both Zrinka and Barbara gave us endless recommendations of places to visit on our route over the next several days.    And off we went to Plitvice lakes.  Pictures do not do this national park justice.    But whatever the color is of this water: that’s my favorite color.
